Does your business offer a product or service that is not growing? Maybe it has a few customers, but what would happen if you redirected those resources to another area of the business?

Who are the toxic people in your business, on your team or in your personal life that are draining time and energy? Consider limiting your exposure to them, cutting them from your social media feed, or telling them it is time for what Dr. Cloud refers to as a “necessary ending.”

Is there something in your life that seems to be healthy and growing, but in the wrong direction, or is not going anywhere positive? The success of your business may be resulting in speaking opportunities that take you away from your business. Opportunities to volunteer could be taking time away from your family. That promotion may come with more money, but is the ladder you are climbing leaned up against the right wall?

Think of the thing you are so focused on right now. At the end of your life, will you look back and say, “I’m glad I spent my time, energy and money on that?”
