Last week I had the privilege to present about apps at the AGC Georgia Construction Professional Conference. This was a great day long conference that had 40 different training sessions. The training sessions covered topics ranging from safety to technology to human resources to executive.
I participated in two panel discussions: one about mobile device management and the other about new apps for construction. The first session I presented how I created and manage my mobile device program. My company provides iPads and iPhones for employees to use. These devices are set up using the Apple Configurator Program.
In the second session I discussed new apps. I presented the FotoIn Mobile App and the RMP Safety App. The FotoIn Mobile App is a automated solution that allows users to take project photos, rage them and sync them back to your server. The luncheon Keynote speaker was Corey Perlman. He presented concepts about how construction companies can use social media to reach out and connect with current and potential new clients.To learn more about Corey’s work take a look at his website at: http://ebootcamp.com.
There was also a great trade show with over 40 vendors. There were displays of new safety items from MSA, ladders from Werner, and rigging supplies from Ashly Slings. There were a few other standout displays form new apps such as:

I spoke with several attendees that enjoyed the conference and look forward to what the 2015 version will offer.
